The NSW Property Buying Process
Organise your finances
Ensure you have pre-approval in place with your preferred lender. A 10% deposit is normally required or in some instances a Deposit Bond may be utilised to secure your property.
Find your property, make an offer
It is recommended building and pest inspections are undertaken prior to signing a Contract for Sale. If going to auction, these would need to be done prior to the auction day.
Exchange of Contracts
Cornerstone Conveyancing Services will help you with the review and negotiation of all elements of the Contract prior to exchange. The deposit is immediately payable, prior to exchange of Contracts. Cooling off periods may apply in certain situations.
Property Settlement
Usually around 6 weeks after exchange of Contracts, completion will take place and you will be the registered proprietor.
First Home Buyers
Cornerstone Conveyancing Services will assist with obtaining any relevant First Home Buyer exemptions with Revenue NSW, ensuring you receive all the benefits applicable. We have a wealth of experience and are passionate about supporting our clients to achieve their first home. We are here to help and support our clients throughout the buying process.
